Dr Julie Milland has a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Melbourne and a 20-year career as a senior medical research scientist.
She completed the Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing from RMIT University and is currently studying in the Master of Journalism course at University of Melbourne.
In addition to her science writing, Julie has also dabbled in creative fiction with work published in Sleepers Almanac, Best Australian Stories 2008 and broadcast on ABC Radio National.
